XABIK · Open role
AI, Software & Data Founder*
Build the data and intelligence layer behind XABIK, applying AI to identify, structure, compare and prioritize strategic infrastructure opportunities, while designing systems that can operate in government-facing and institutionally demanding environments.
- Fractional founder role · keep your current job
- Real ownership via the Junyo* model
- Founding team of a company already in development
Role summary
A software and AI systems role across data pipelines, analysis workflows and decision intelligence.
This is not a standard software role.
You will build the systems that turn fragmented infrastructure data into usable intelligence: pipelines, AI-assisted workflows, scoring models, prioritization logic and weighting algorithms.
Because XABIK will operate in institutional and government-facing contexts, these systems must be designed with traceability, security, auditability, documentation and compliance readiness from the beginning.
Engagement model
Designed as a fractional founder position.
For details on structure, time commitment and conditions, refer to the FAQ.
- You do not need to leave your current job.
- You contribute part-time, focused on architecture, AI workflows and core data systems.
- You work as part of the founding team of the company.
What you'll be building
- Data pipelines that collect and structure fragmented infrastructure, energy, land, regulation, incentives and market signals.
- AI-assisted workflows for research, extraction, classification and comparison.
- Scoring models to prioritize opportunities.
- Weighting algorithms that make trade-offs explicit.
- Internal tools that help the team evaluate opportunity areas faster and more systematically.
- A decision engine that explains why an opportunity is attractive, constrained or not worth pursuing.
Core responsibilities
- Define the technical architecture for XABIK's data and intelligence layer.
- Identify relevant data sources and design ingestion workflows.
- Apply AI to extract, classify, summarize and connect complex information.
- Build models for scoring feasibility, attractiveness, strategic relevance and risk.
- Work with the Infrastructure Engineering Founder* to encode technical judgment into the system.
- Build internal interfaces and workflows for opportunity evaluation.
- Keep the system practical, explainable and usable by non-technical stakeholders.
- Design the system with government-facing standards in mind: traceability, audit logs, documentation, data governance, security requirements and future ISO or institutional compliance needs.
What we are NOT looking for
- Developers who only build interfaces.
- Data engineers without interest in AI-enabled workflows.
- AI enthusiasts who cannot build reliable software.
- People who treat AI as a demo instead of a production decision layer.
- Engineers who need perfect data before creating useful systems.
Required profile
- Strong software engineering background.
- Experience building data-heavy products, internal tools, platforms or decision systems.
- Practical experience applying AI to complex workflows.
- Ability to work with incomplete, messy and fragmented data.
- Strong product intuition and capacity to build usable systems quickly.
- Understanding of compliance-sensitive environments, including documentation, auditability, security, data governance and standards such as ISO where relevant.
Key capabilities
AI workflows, data pipelines, scoring systems, algorithmic prioritization, explainable and compliance-ready decision tools.
AI workflows — apply LLMs, extraction, classification, summarization and agentic workflows to complex research and analysis processes.
Data pipelines — collect, normalize and connect fragmented data sources across multiple domains.
Scoring systems — design models that compare opportunities using multiple weighted variables.
Algorithmic prioritization — build logic that helps decide what should be pursued first and why.
Explainability — make the system understandable for founders, investors, governments and infrastructure stakeholders.
Compliance readiness — design systems that can support institutional requirements, including documentation, audit trails, data governance, security controls and future ISO-aligned processes where needed.
Why this role is hard
The data is fragmented and the decisions are high-context.
This is not a clean dataset problem. Infrastructure data is scattered. Variables are incomplete and interdependent.
AI must support judgment, not replace it. The system must produce useful decisions even when certainty is limited.
The system must also be credible in environments where governments, institutions and large infrastructure actors expect documentation, traceability, security and compliance discipline.
Why it matters
The intelligence layer is what makes XABIK scalable.
Without software and AI, infrastructure origination remains manual and consulting-heavy.
With the right system, XABIK can compare more opportunities, structure better decisions and build a repeatable origination engine.
Success looks like
- A working data and intelligence layer for opportunity evaluation.
- AI-assisted workflows that reduce manual research and analysis.
- Clear scoring and prioritization models.
- Internal tools that make infrastructure opportunities easier to compare.
- A system that turns scattered signals into structured opportunity intelligence.
- A technical foundation that can support government-facing standards, auditability, documentation, security and future compliance requirements.
Ideal background
- Senior software engineer, AI engineer, data engineer or technical product builder.
- Experience with data pipelines, AI workflows, internal tools or decision systems.
- Experience or strong understanding of compliance-sensitive software environments, ISO-style standards, security, auditability or data governance is highly valuable.
- Exposure to infrastructure, energy, climate, real estate, public data or finance is valuable.
- Comfortable building from zero in undefined environments.
"Build the intelligence layer that turns scattered infrastructure signals into strategic opportunities."
